Chimbote City is the capital of Santa Province which belongs to Ancash Departament in Perú. It's located in the coast region of Perú and it's a seaport on the Pacific Ocean at the mouth of The Santa River. You can get Chimbote by bus (means of transportation most often used), about 7 hours away from Lima. Chimbote is located north of Lima, capital of Perú.

Chimbote exports fish products, rice, cotton, sugar, minerals and machinery. It is located on the Pan-American Highway, which means that all means of land transport must pass through here to go either north or south.
