Yolanda's Touching Story

Yolanda is a humble and troubled woman. She was a hard working person. Her husband was a fisherman. Some years ago he went for fishing and sadly his boat got lost on the sea and never came back. On the other hand, one of her relatives asked for a loan from a local bank and she was the guarantor. As her relative did not repay, the bank became the owner of her house. She got into a deep depression and tried to commit suicide several times.

To make things worse, she fell down and her hip and one of her knees were fractured and now can not walk. Sometimes the family has not enough resources for food. Some Christians visited her and encourage her, her daughter and granddaughter to attend church. There, they found a family spiritual and emotional support.

The house she is living in is not in a good condition. The roof and walls are made of woven reed and corboards and when it rains the water goes through the roof. This family really needs help.

La Conmovedora Historia de Yolanda

Yolanda es una humilde y atribulada mujer. Era muy trabajadora. Su esposo fue pescador. Hace algunos años salió a pescar pero tristemente su lancha se perdió en alta mar y nunca regresó. Por otro lado, uno de sus familiares solicitó un préstamo y ella fue la garante. Como su familiar no hizo los reembolsos mensuales al banco, Yolanda perdió su casa, el banco se lo quitó. Entró en una profunda depresión e intentó quitarse la vida varias veces.

Para empeorar las cosas, tuvo una caída que causó la fractura de su cadera y una de sus rodillas y ahora no puede caminar. Algunas veces la familia no tiene suficientes recursos para los alimentos. Un grupo de cristianos la visitó y la animaron a ella, su hija y nieta a asistir a la iglesia. Allí, encontraron una familia espiritual y apoyo emocional.

La casa donde viven no se encuentra en buenas condiciones. El techo y las paredes son de estera y cartón. La lluvia se filtra por el techo. Esta familia realmente necesita ayuda.
