Medical Campaign at San Pedro University Polyclinic and Other Activities. Nov-2011 Day-1

IN ORDER TO PROVIDE medical care and meds for free to people living in humble communities in Nuevo Chimbote, Marietta First United Methodist Church (MFUMC) from Georgia-USA and ABCD CHIMBOTE Project started making plans about it. This is the first Medical Campaign these two organizations set up together to benefit people of that area. After conversations between the leader of ABCD CHIMBOTE and the director of San Pedro University polyclinic Dr. Aberto Sifuentes, we were allowed to use its facilities for such aim. This polyclinic is located near communities that have been organized lately south Nuevo Chimbote.

Here are medical services were provided:

• General Medicine.
• Gynecology-Obstetrics.
• Odontology.
• Nursing.
• Psychology.
• Physical Therapy.
• Laboratory.
• Pharmacy (meds for free).

We also visited Cristo Redentor school and started installing a water purifier there. In the afternoon we held a Bible School for children in Nueva Vida Church. This first day was a busy one and full of expectations. We are grateful for having this opportunity to serve those in need.

CAMPAÑA MÉDICA EN POLICLÍNICO DE LA UNIVERSIDAD SAN PEDRO Y OTRAS ACTIVIDADES. Nov-2011 DÍA-1

CON EL PROPÓSITO de ofrecer servicios médicos y medicinas completamente gratis a las personas que viven en las comunidades humildes de Nuevo Chimbote, la Primera Iglesia Metodista Unida de Marietta (MFUMC) de Georgia-USA y el Proyecto ABCD CHIMBOTE empezaron a hacer planes al respecto. Ésta es la primera campaña médica que éstas dos organizaciones realizan para beneficiar a las personas de esa área. Después de las conversaciones entre el líder de ABCD CHIMBOTE y el director del Policlínico Docente "San Luis" de la Universidad SAN PEDRO, Dr. ALberto Sifuentes, se nos permitió usar dichas instalaciones para tal fin. El policlínico está ubicado cerca a las comunidades que se han formado ultimamente al sur de Nuevo Chimbote.

Se ofrecieron los siguientes servicios médicos:

• Medicina General.
• Gíneco-Obstetricia.
• Odontología.
• Enfermería.
• Psicología.
• Terapia Física.
• Laboratorio.
• Farmacia (medicina gratis).

También visitamos el colegio Cristo Redentor donde se empezó a instalar un purificador de agua y en la tarde se realizó una escuelita bíblica para niños. Éste primer día fue uno muy ocupado y lleno de espectativas. Estamos agradecidos por tener la oportunidad de servir a aquellos que lo necesitan.
