American Youth Mission Team Visits Chimbote. May-2014

One more time a youth missionary team from the church MFUMC - USA came down to Chimbote Perú in order to perform some community activities. The first day we visited "16 de Julio" and other settlements emerging in Nuevo Chimbote in the area also known as "invasions". In our journey we spent some time with a bunch of children and their teacher who were studying in a small classroom made of plywood. We then went to Cristo Redentor School to teach English and hang out with students.

In the afternoon we went to Villa María Methodist Church where we performed a VBS with children and teens who after a nice time singing, dancing, etc., enjoyed doing crafts provided by our American friends. A youth team of Nueva Vida Church, led by Rusver, was working with us. When the program was over, attendees were given some resfreshment and cookies.

Equipo Misionero Juvenil Norteamericano Visita Chimbote. May-2014

Una vez más un equipo misionero juvenil de la iglesia MFUMC de USA llegó a Chimbote Perú para realizar actividades comunitarias. El primer día visitamos el Asentamiento Humano "16 de Julio" y algunos más ubicados en Nuevo Chimbote en la zona de las "invasiones". En nuestro recorrido nos encontramos con un grupo de estudiantes de nivel inicial y su profesora quienes estudiaban en un pequeño salón de triplay. Luego, fuimos al Colegio Cristo Redentor a enseñar inglés y pasar un buen tiempo con los estudiantes.

En la tarde, visitamos la Iglesia Metodista de Villa María donde realizamos una Escuelita para niños y adolecentes quienes, después de cantar, danzar, etc., disfrutaron hacer las manualidades que nuestros amigos norteamericanos les compartieron. Rusver y otros jóvenes de la Iglesia Nueva Vida nos apoyaron en el programa. Al final, los asistentes recibieron galletas y refesco.
