Third Day Of Community Activities By American Young People. May-2015

On this new day of community activities, the MFUMC mission team members visited the House for elders "Saint Joseph" located in Casma town, around 45 min. away from Chimbote which shelters homeless, those who were abandoned by their own family, the ones who are sick, those coming by their own will, etc. It does not receive financial aid from the government, it is supported by kind hearted people. No help is enough because there is always a need to address.

American visitors danced, played games, had fun and laugh with the elders and also fed them. It was rewarding to see a smile on the face of each of them since most feel lonely. We are grateful to God for this great opportunity to serve our neighbor. In the afternoon we participated at the retreit organized by Christian young people of a local church. Tercer Día de Actividades Comunitarias Realizadas Por Jóvenes Norteamericanos. May-2015

En este nuevo día de actividades comunitarias, el equipo misionero de la iglesia MFUMC, visitó el Asilo de Ancianos "San José" de Casma, a 45 min. de Chimbote el cual acoge a ancianos sin hogar, abandonados, enfermos, aquello que van por su propia voluntad, etc. Esta institución no recibe apoyo del gobierno solo de personas generosas a través de donaciones. Ninguna ayuda es suficiente ya que siempre existe una necesidad que abordar.

Los visitantes americanos danzaron, jugaron, se divirtieron y rieron con los ancianos. Fue gratificante ver expresiones de alegría en sus rostros puesto que la mayoría se sienten solos. Estamos agradecidos con Dios por esta gran oportunidad de servir al prójimo. En la tarde, participamos en el retiro organizado por jóvenes cristianos de una iglesia local. (Anterior y Siguiente día)
